It was our 2nd annual Halloween Campout. We made a trip to Deception Pass campground the weekend before Halloween this year, joining our friends Tom Tessier and Roger Christianson, his wife Cindy and their two daughters. We were able to get adjoining campsites. Imagine that, the campground wasn't crowded! |

Tom and Marilyn toiling over a witches brew of Chili. I don't know where they got the eye of newt but it sure added some great flavor! I think we were all in agreement that it was the best chili that we had ever eaten. Congratulations to the "Chefs"! Note: David had "Kia patrol" |

Incredibly Good Chili Recipe 2 large white onions (coarsely chopped) 10 gloves fresh garlic finely chopped 2 cans stewed (Italian style) tomatoes 3 cans pinto beans 2 cans Kidney beans 3 lbs ground beef 3 tablespoons of Ground cumin seed 1 table spoon of Paprika 1 teaspoon of Garlic powder 1 tablespoons of salt 1/3rd cup chili powder 1/3 rd cup sugar 2 tablespoons of Magnolia Fire Oil 4 tablespoons of A1 steak sauce. 1 tablespoon of (Marilyn's) Spaghetti seasoning. Brown beef with onions and the garlic cloves. Add all ingredients to pot and simmer 2 to 3 hours... All amounts are approximate. Hmm good.. |
